Marc Morial is the current President and CEO of the National Urban League, the nation’s largest historic civil rights and urban advocacy organization. He has been described as a leader on the national scene who is savvy in the boardroom but also who is “street smart”. He served as the highly successful and popular mayor of New Orleans as well as the President of the United States Conference of Mayors. He has also served as a Louisiana State Senator and a lawer in New Orleans with an active high profile practice.

Mr. Morial is a leading voice on the national stage advocating for equity for jobs, educating, housing, and voting rights. He is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and the University of Pennsylvania. In regards to recognitions, Mr. Morial has been recognized as one of the 100 most influential Black Americans by Ebony magazine, on of the top 50 nonprofit leaders by The NonProfit Times, and one of the most influential black lawyers in America. He has also been inducted into the international Civil Rights Walk of Fame located in Atlanta, Georgia.
